Lightbox suddenly disappeared from Blogger

Without any warning or offering any solution Google removed Lightbox from the blogs. Lightbox allowed to click on one photo in a post or page which enabled visitors to scroll through all photos present in that page or post. It shows Google's boundless arrogance and disrespect for their users that are only interesting to them as cash cows that bring in advertisement revenues.

Lightbox - image display

Fortunately there is a solution to that - at least until Google decides to conjure up an other unannounced and unsupported change. In a blog called 'The Real Blogger Status' you will find a work-around for this problem. It is imperative for users who necessarily place images in their blog entries and pages.

In the Template section, ad this code without the parentheses to the very end of your HTML:

'<script src='' type='text/javascript'/>'

It should like this:

<script src='' type='text/javascript'></script>

I recall the days when Google's search engine popped out of nowhere (yeah right, if you believe in such things...). People wondered why there were no ads and other types of crap to contaminate the search pages. Well, all that has certainly changed drastically today. It was all planned in advance; the myth of students building a search engine in the dorm was just a fairytale to get you where you are now: dependent on Google for all your search actions, all of which are recorded in their database, while you generate so much money for them that they are now the word's most valuable corporation.

Have a nice day!
